IMO, nothing beats a performance by Alan Doyle. He was amazing in Great Big Sea and he is equally amazing as a solo performer. He often plays at the Grand in Kingston when he tours. We saw him in November 2021. At the time I felt like a rogue citizen surrounded by a crowded full house loudly singing along in celebration of the lifting of most pandemic restrictions. When I bought tickets for 2024, I wondered if seeing him without the post-pandemic mania would be a disappointment, but no - he was still amazing!
