Forum Announcement: A Note from the Moderator

Hi everybody,

I’ve agreed to serve as moderator for our club’s online forum. My role isn’t to police discussion but to help it flourish and grow. My goal is to encourage participation, ensure posts stay organized, work with you to create a repository of accurate and high quality information and maintain a positive and friendly place for us to engage with each other.

In a few moments I'll be posting an outline of the Etiquette and Guidelines for our forum. These are shared understandings about how to make our posts engaging and useful. The idea is to help us keep discussions focused on philately, postal history, and related topics while ensuring that those new to posting feel welcome and supported.

I’ll also be working with Roy Lingen (Webmaster) to tidy up thread categories and make it easier to find older posts. This will be important as the forum grows. If you have ideas, please share them. The forum will be what we make of it.

Thank you to everyone who’s already been posting — it’s rewarding to see our club’s knowledge and enthusiasm coming online.

Warm regards,
Hugh MacDonald
